This year’s BankRI Holiday Giving Tree program saw its largest collection ever, leading to 7,576 gifts to brighten the season for children across Rhode Island. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Newport County will be expanding the second-grade swim program to Middletown schools following a major donation.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County have been helping youth reach their dreams for 67 years. On Sept. 22, the club hosted its annual awards ceremony to celebrate those who are passionate about supporting children.

The Newport Historical Society and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Newport County announced Tuesday the record-breaking year for The Newport Show, raising $375,000.

The stars aligned for a beautiful evening on Friday, June 23rd, in favor of our 10th Annual Newport Yacht Rendezvous at the Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard.

Dozens of nonprofit organizations serving Newport County residents will share nearly $350,000 in grants from the Rhode Island Foundation. The grants will fund work ranging from housing and summer youth programs to food pantries and behavioral health.

The stars aligned on June 23 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County’s 10th annual Newport Yacht Rendezvous at the Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard. A record 420 guests enjoyed yacht-hopping, dinner and dancing, and they came together during “Raise the Paddle” to pledge support for the club.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County today announced that it has selected Kyle Brennan Simmons, a senior at Middletown High School, as the Club’s Youth of the Year. 

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County proudly announces that it has received a grant from the Michael Phelps Foundation to implement the “IM Program,” Michael Phelps’ multi-faceted aquatics and water safety program comprised of five components: IM Safe, which teaches children the necessary skills and confidence to be safe in deep water; IM Fun, which provides structured in-pool activities (including some of Michael Phelps’ favorites!) to keep kids coming back to the pool; IM Fast, which focuses on stroke development and competitive swimming skills; IM Healthy, which delivers physical and mental health information in connection with IM program participation, and; IM Successful, which is a goal-setting and achievement program individualized for each participant.

April 27, 2023 – Over 20 employees from Home Depot stores in Middletown and North Kingstown, Rhode Island worked diligently to prepare Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County’s Camp Grosvenor for this summer’s day camp program, where nearly 500 kids from Newport and Washington Counties will enjoy traditional camp activities and learn from a variety of enrichment programs.
