The Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County has named Kelley Coen as its next Chief Executive Officer. Coen, who currently serves as the Club’s Chief Advancement Officer, will officially step into the top role on Sept. 25.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County announces the appointment of Kelley Coen as its Chief Executive Officer. Coen joined the Boys & Girls Clubs in 2019 as the organization’s Director of Development and was promoted to Chief Advancement Officer in 2024. Prior, she spent 30 years gaining extensive experience in both business and philanthropy. A committee of seven stakeholders and Boys & Girls Clubs of America conducted the nationwide search and interviewing process.

Under clear skies on the evening of June 27, 300 supporters of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County gathered under a tent at the Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard for the signature Newport Yacht Rendezvous, for an evening of yacht-hopping, dinner, dancing, and a spirited “Raise the Paddle” that culminated in bringing in $464,000 to support the Club’s programs and services for area children and teens.
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County’s annual Newport Yacht Rendezvous at Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard, the eight-member “BGC Bratz” dance team took over the floor and entertained the gala’s 300 guests with a contagiously energetic routine that ended with a standing ovation. Dance coach Sienna Benson and teen coordinator Sophie Perrotti worked with the all-female troupe to develop a routine.
