Three lanes will be designated for family swim. Certified Lifeguard on Duty.”

Family Swim Guidelines
- Parents are responsible for actively supervising their children at all times.
- All swimmers 16 & under must take a swim test if they want to swim in the deep end.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied in the pool area or in the water by an adult.
- Any child under 7 who does not pass the swim test must be accompanied by an adult in the water & stay within arm’s reach in the shallow end.
- Instructional Equipment (kick Boards, Pull Buoys, etc.) including starting blocks, may not be used during Family Swim.
- Infants or young children that wear diapers MUST wear disposable swim pants/diapers covered by a swimsuit.
- Toys & noodles may be used at the lifeguard’s discretion depending on the number of patrons.
- Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed (Life vest, Puddle Jumpers).
- Please note: No inflatable Swimming aids or flotation ride devices, such as water wings, inner tubes, rafts, etc. is allowed.
- *All Club kids and adults must become a BGC member prior to participating in Family Swim Nights
Lap Swim
Lap Swim is an added opportunity for swimmers that want to swim laps for recreation/fitness. Two lanes will be designated for lap swim.

Note: To participate in Lap Swim all participants (Children and Adults must have an active BGC of Newport County Membership ($30.00/year).
