immers (ages 5-8) at this level must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke. They may have little to no swim team experience, but during the season, further improvements will be made with freestyle and backstroke, will learn how to dive, and practice breaststroke, butterfly and flip-turns. Additionally, swimmers will be taught the fundamentals of swimming competitively.
This swim level consists of swimmers (ages 8+) who need additional coaching/swim stroke instruction in order to become a BLACK FIN swimmer.
Swimmers (ages 9+) at this level must be able to swim all four strokes (i.e. freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly) with proper technique and understand the regulations of swimming competitively. Practice time will focus on stroke technique, developing competitive strategies, and enhancing their endurance in the water.
This swim level consists of swimmers who are faster and more experienced than swimmers at the BLACK FIN level. This group has a greater focus on challenging swim sets during practice, with a moderate emphasis on continued stroke enhancement.
