The Club
Our Teen Center
Our teen center, The Club, is on the third floor of our Church St. headquarters. One exciting feature of the teen center is the Cafe--it has a snack bar and a stage for open-mic nights and performances. There is also a tech lab with a recording set-up for music and plenty of computers, an art room, and a games room with a new pool table and big screen tv.

The Club focuses on the arts. Music production, performance, digital and fine art, sewing and silk screening are just some of the reasons why The Club is a popular place for teens after school. Teens receive instruction with industry standard software (Reason, ProTools, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and learn skills that prepare them for careers in the arts. There is no additional fee and teens can work on individual and group projects when they want.

Keystone Club
The focus of the Keystone Club is teen service to the club and the community. This year's national project focuses on recruiting more teens to join the club and to form relationships with younger members to show them the value of keeping their membership at the club. We are also researching the positive and negative effects of hip-hop music on culture. Keystone meets Wednesdays at 5.

Job Opportunities for Teens
We currently employ teens ages 16-18 to work in various areas of the club. Please contact Ben Ellcome, 401-847-6927, to find out if we have any open positions.

Young Producers
Young Producers offers teens the exciting opportunity to use state-of-the-art software and music production equipment to make music. The teen center features a new sound-insulated booth for recording vocals and small instruments. Instruction is offered for writing, performance techniques, recording, beat making, and mixing. Young Producers meetings are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5 pm at the Central Clubhouse.

SHOOT
Teens can participate in SHOOT, a new program offered at the Club, where members have the opportunity to write, film, produce, act, and edit their own film.  The film program is taught by Rocco Michaluk, of Video & Vision, a Newport-based multimedia production company. Participants use Rocco's state-of-the-art digital equipment and production facilities to realize their vision through filmmaking.  The final film will be premiered at the Newport International Film Festival in June.  SHOOT meetings are held on Wednesdays from 4-6 pm at the Central Clubhouse.
